We recently had the pleasure of attending a unique event hosted by London Credit, a bridging and development lender based in Soho Square. The occasion was special: London Credit is preparing to launch a new product next year, and they invited us to be among the first to hear about it. Thanks to an invitation from Desmond Daly of Daly Equity, one of our trusted equity brokers, we joined a gathering that combined business insights with a celebration of Greek culture through food and wine.
A Taste of Greece in the Heart of London
The event took place in a stylish venue near Soho Square, where a Greek restaurant provided authentic catering. The menu featured classic Greek dishes such as moussaka, tzatziki, grilled octopus, and spanakopita. Each dish was thoughtfully paired with wines from various regions of Greece, offering guests a chance to explore the rich flavours and history of Greek wine-making.
The wine tasting was led by an expert sommelier who guided us through the nuances of each wine. From crisp Assyrtiko whites to robust Agiorgitiko reds, the selections highlighted Greece’s diverse terroir and wine-making traditions. This pairing of food and wine created a memorable experience that went beyond a typical networking event.
Insights for Developers and Equity Brokers
While the evening was filled with culinary delights, it also provided valuable insights for developers and equity brokers. London Credit’s new product promises to offer fresh opportunities for bridging finance and development projects. Although details remain under wraps until the official launch, the event gave us a glimpse into how this product could support developers in managing cash flow and accelerating project timelines.
Equity brokers like Des Daly play a crucial role in connecting developers with lenders. Events like this strengthen those relationships by fostering open dialogue and sharing market knowledge. The relaxed atmosphere, enhanced by the wine tasting, encouraged meaningful conversations about current challenges and future trends in property development finance.
Building Connections Over Shared Experiences
One of the most valuable aspects of the evening was the chance to build connections in a setting that felt both professional and welcoming. The combination of traditional Greek cuisine and carefully selected wines created a warm environment where developers, equity brokers, and lenders could exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.
Events like this demonstrate how blending cultural experiences with industry knowledge can enrich professional relationships. For developers looking to navigate the complexities of funding and equity brokers seeking to expand their network, such gatherings offer practical benefits beyond the usual meetings and calls.
